Chelsea booked their spot in the next round of the Capital One Cup with a 2-1 win over Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night.
As expected, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho made several changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Manchester United, with Didier Drogba, Oscar and Gary Cahill the only players to retain their place in the starting 11.
The first chance of the half fell to Shrewsbury in the opening five minutes, as Nathaniel Knight-Percival's header forced Petr Cech into a fine save.
That was to be the only meaningful opening in the first half, as Chelsea failed to register a single effort on target.
However, the Blues took the lead minutes after the restart, as Didier Drogba got on the end of Mohammed Salah's knockdown before side-footing home from 12-yards out.
The League two side managed to equalise in the 77th minute thanks to a close range finish from Andrew Mangan, after Jermaine Grandison's effort had been blocked by John Obi Mikel.
Chelsea then restored their lead four minutes later, as Grandison deflected Willian's cross into the back of his own net.
Mourinho's men managed to hold off a late charge from the home side to secure their spot in the next round of the League Cup.
