Reports emanating from Spain suggest that English starlet Jude Bellingham plans to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season, and has already decided his next club.
Price Tag Revealed For Dortmund Star Bellingham?
Bellingham is one of world football's most highly rated young players and many clubs are interested in his services, but having already rebuffed advances from teams in the Premier League before, it seems the Englishman may once again reject them in favour of continuing to ply his trade abroad.
In the 2020 off-season, the Stourbridge native reportedly resisted an approach involving Sir Alex Ferguson, Bryan Robson and Eric Cantona when Manchester United tried their best to tempt him away from Birmingham City and lure him to Old Trafford, but Bellingham chose to join Dortmund instead.
It is at the Signal Iduna Park where he has continued to develop, following in the footsteps of the likes of Jadon Sancho, and has asserted himself as one of the best footballers in the world.
His most recent performance in the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City only helped validate the hype around him and now, according to Marca, Real Madrid are in prime position to land the teenager's signature, who is said to be keen to make the switch to Spain.
Los Blancos have reportedly been monitoring the central midfielder since 2019, and once the 2022/23 season concludes, it is said they will make the England international their top transfer priority.
The same report suggests that Real have asked Bellingham not to extend his deal with the Bundesliga giants.
Transfer Update: Romelu Lukaku
Liverpool are also understood to be strongly interested in Bellingham, but with Los Blancos having signed the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior in recent seasons, the reigning European champions' project at the Santiago Bernabeu may prove too exciting to turn down.
