On Thursday afternoon, it emerged that the 31-year-old's camp had been in contact with the Bavarians over a potential switch to Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr.
This came less than a week after Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel held little back when discussing Mane's struggles in Germany.
The ex-Chelsea boss stated the African had fallen well short of expectations and gave no indication that the winger would feature in his plans going forward.
Now, according to L'Equipe, the Senegal international has reached an agreement with Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr over personal terms.
There is still reportedly some way to go until the proposed transfer is finalised, but it appears Mane's departure from Bayern and move to the Middle East is getting nearer.
The former Premier League star endured a troubled first campaign in Germany on and off the field, after he punched teammate Leroy Sane after a UEFA Champions League defeat.
Mane took aim at his colleague in the dressing room following a 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the first round of their round of 16 tie following a confrontation close to the end of the clash.
