In recent weeks, there has been considerable speculation surrounding Die Roten star Joshua Kimmich.
With the 28-year-old having joined the Bavarians in 2015, it was rumoured that his eight-year stint at the Allianz Arena could soon be over when news emerged suggesting that the Bundesliga champions were willing to part with the star if a considerable offer arrived.
Barcelona were heavily tipped to sign the Germany international, but given their financial constraints, an official bid never arrived at the doorstep of Sabener Strasse.
Kimmich has now broken his silence regarding whether or not he will be playing for the two-time treble winners in the 2023/24 campaign after members of the media quizzed him about his future.
"I'm very sure that I'll play for FC Bayern in the new season," the 79-capped Die Mannschaft defender-turned-midfielder said, as per Get German Football News.

With Bayern having lost out to Arsenal in the race for Declan Rice's signature, it seems Kimmich's midfield partner for the new campaign will be either Ryan Gravenberch, Konrad Laimer or Leon Goretzka.
The latter has also been heavily linked with a move away from Germany, but the box-to-box midfielder has reiterated his intent to stay and fight for his place in the team.
