Official: Ballon d'Or Nominees Announced, Big Names Snubbed!

The nominees for the 2024 Ballon d'Or have officially been announced.

Last year's award was won by Lionel Messi, who extended his record to eight Ballon d'Ors after inspiring Argentina to the FIFA World Cup glory.

Real Madrid have a total of seven players nominated for this year's award after winning the UEFA Champions League and LALIGA last season.

Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham are favourites for the award, while Manchester City midfielder Rodri is also believed to be a contender for the award.

For the first time since 2003, neither Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo have been shortlisted for the award.

The ceremony will take place on 28 October in Paris.
