Former Mamelodi Sundowns manager Hristo Stoichkov believes FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has no rival for the 2015 FIFA Ballon d'Or crown.
Enrique: Messi Is One Of A Kind
The former Bulgaria international had two playing stints with the Catalan giants, and finished runner-up twice for the FIFA World Player of the Year award – now known as the Ballon d'Or.
Stoichkov, who scored 118 goals in 254 appearances for Barcelona, and 38 in 84 appearances for his country, feels there is only one clear winner for the Ballon d'Or on Monday night, and that is the Argentine.
"Messi no longer competes with anyone, he is a myth," Stoichkov told Barca TV.
"No one can doubt that Messi should win the Golden Ball. I think it's impossible that someone can overcome him.
"I doubt there will be another play liked Messi."
Bayern Star: 'MSN' Should Be Ballon D'Or Finalists
Should Messi win the award, it would be his fifth Ballon d'Or crown, having already won it four times between 2009 and 2012.
