The goalkeeper position was no debate, with a former Real Madrid shot-stopper beating Manuel Neuer (selected three times) and Gianluigi Buffon (chosen twice).

In midfield, Kaka (three selections) and Zinedine Zidane (two selections) couldn't make our line-up, while up front Samuel Eto'o and Fernando Torres (each twice selected) didn't come close to our star forwards.
