Rulani Mokwena's Wydad Casablanca climbed to second spot on the Botola Pro table after defeating Olympique de Safi on Friday night.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Cassius Mailula was given a start in the attack for Mokwena's charges.
The home side came into the clash in some disappointing form, having won just one of their last five league encounters.

Wydad got off to the perfect start when Oussama Zemraoui opened the scoring after just four minutes with his first league goal of the campaign.
The hosts thought they had doubled their lead after 27 minutes through Mailula's effort, but the wait for a second goal for the South African continued after the flag went up for offside after a review from the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
The Red Castle were unable to find another goal in the rest of the contest, but they did manage to shut out their opponents to secure maximum points.
This was Wydad's fifth win of the Botola Pro campaign and comes at a crucial time after some shaky form over the past month.
Mokwena's charges jump from eighth spot to second with the win, but they sit five points adrift of league leaders RS Berkane who have played a game less.
