The Egyptian Premier League side announced the departure of Juan Carlos Osorio late on Sunday night following the team's 2-1 domestic defeat to ZED at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday.
However, prior to Osorio's dismissal after an emergency meeting held by the hierarchy, board member Ahmed Soliman seemed to indicate the club still believed in the Colombian's project.
In that same interview with MBC Masr, Soliman touched on rumours linking Zamalek with former Al Ahly head coach Mosimane, whose future at Al Wahda in Qatar appears uncertain at the moment.
Recent reports claimed the 59-year-old South African's contract had been terminated by the club, although nothing has been made official by the Qatari-based side.
"We have not contacted Mosimane or any other replacement for Osorio," Soliman said.
"We've also put a plan to pay all the managerial staff's wages. We fully support them and they have our backing."
Zamalek are currently ninth in the Egyptian Premier League after six matches, having won just two games since the season got underway.

Al Ahly, meanwhile, are seventh on the table, although the Red Devils have played just three games due to African Football League commitments.
