Rumours suggest that the 30-year-old South Africa international could leave the Red Devils at the end of the season, amid claims manager Marcel Koller no longer depends on his services.
Tau has represented the Club of the Century well since his arrival from Brighton Hove Albion in 2021, having contributed to 40 goals in 109 appearances.
Speaking about the Bafana star's potential exit, ex-Ahly player Diyaa El Sayed believes Tau leaving would make more sense than the possible departure of Kahraba.
"Percy Tau's departure from Al Ahly is normal, because the technical staff no longer relies on him primarily, and I prefer Mahmoud Abdelmonem Kahraba to continue, and if he leaves, it will only be on loan," he told On Sport FM radio, according to btolat.
Al Ahly celebrated an incredible 44th Egyptian Premier League title last week after successfully overtaking Pyramids in the race for the trophy.
