The Pyramids coach, however, says he won the match '2-0' despite the decisions by the Video Assistant Referees, as they had a goal ruled out in each half.
“I can say that I’m very proud, we played an excellent match, we scored to two goals. For me, I won the match today 2-0. I like Africa but not in this way," the Pyramids coach told SABC Sport after the game.
"It's too early to speak about the match in Egypt. We will play our way as I said before the match.
“I will repeat I’m very proud how my players played today, how many chances we made. But I’m a little bit frustrated, it’s very difficult to speak now."
The Egyptian Premier League outfit did create some other chances, but were not able to take advantage on the night.
“Football is like this," he added.
"For me as a coach it’s important that my team created the chances. Sometimes you score, sometimes you don’t score, but generally I’m very satisfied.”
