According to Africa Foot United, club officials revealed Mokwana will be back in the side after recovering from injury and is expected to feature against Club Africain on Sunday.
"Mokwana is fine. He's operational," the club said.
Mokwana was reportedly injured during the first leg of Esperance's CAF Champions League quarter-final against Mamelodi Sundowns, but forced himself to play in the second leg, aggravating the injury.
As such, the Bafana Bafana international missed his side's last two games. He will be rearing to go ahead of the derby, which will be his first for the club after he was left out of the squad for the return fixture in December 2022, which finished 2-2.
Mokwana has been a consistent presence in the Esperance squad this season. The former Sekhukhune United winger has scored five goals and supplied four assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the Tunisian outfit since making the move from the Limpopo-based side in 2024, according to Transfermarkt.
