An Africa Cup of Nations-winning Egyptian has urged Percy Tau to sign for Al Ahly's fierce rivals.

It seems as though the Bafana Bafana star is destined to leave the Club of the Century in 2025.
Whether it is during the mid-season transfer window or when his contract expires at the end of the campaign remains to be seen, but it has been rumoured that the chiefs at Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium have no intention of entering negotiations with the Witbank native over an extension.
This has led to multiple clubs being linked with the 30-year-old, with Zamalek being the most recent.
The White Knights are looking to challenge for the Egyptian Premier League once again this season, having seen their great rivals win back-to-back titles. Former player for the five-time African champions, Mido, believes Tau can add a lot to the team in their attempt to achieve this.
"I hope that Tau joins Zamalek if he leaves Al Ahly, and I bet on his success in the White Castle, especially since he is a skilled player and has great experience in the Egyptian League, and he will quickly adapt to the team," the former Tottenham Hotspur striker said, as per Youm7.
Clubs in the Arabian Gulf will likely also be monitoring his situation as he approaches the end of his contract. Should the 46-time South Africa international make the controversial switch to Zamalek, he would work under coach Jose Gomes.

The Portuguese tactician has been successful since making his way to the Egyptian capital, winning both the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Super Cup. Mido has also insisted that his former club give him an extension with a monthly salary of $120 000 (R2.1 million).
