Etienne Eto'o is the son to one of African football's greatest-ever players.
The now-Cameroonian Football Federation president is one of the continent's most decorated-ever footballers, having won multiple Africa Cup of Nations titles and an Olympic gold medal, as well as having been prolific across Europe for some of the biggest clubs in the world.
His kin has decided to follow in his footsteps by becoming a professional footballer, and is now plying his trade in the Spanish top flight with Madrid-based side Rayo Vallecano.
The 22-year-old was signed by the club during the off-season transfer window, and was named in their first team squad for the first time for the opening matchday of the LALIGA season, when the Red Sashes played Real Sociedad, although he did not feature in the game.
Despite that call-up almost three months ago, the Cameroonian only made his debut for Inigo Perez's charges in the Copa del Rey on Tuesday night.
The young attacker came off the bench in the 75th minute to replace Pelayo Fernandez, and 13 minutes later opened his account for the campaign as he scored the final goal in their emphatic 5-0 victory over CD Villamuriel.
