South African striker Cassius Mailula has claimed a big honour at Wydad Athletic Club amid some impressive displays for the side of late.
Wydad have confirmed that Mailula has been named the club's January 2025 Player of the Month.

Wydad played three games last month against Moghreb Tetouan, Union Touarga, and Difaa El Jadida, with Mailula playing the entire match on all three occasions.
Impressively, Wydad won all three matches, with Mailula playing a key part by registering a goal and an assist in those fixtures.
In total, the 23-year-old star has contributed two goals and five assists in 20 games since joining Wydad on a season-long loan from Toronto FC.
Notably, coach Rulani Mokwena's side have the option to buy Mailula on a permanent deal at the end of his loan.
Moreover, he is part of a growing contingent of South Africans at Wydad, as the club also recently acquired Thembinkosi Lorch on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns until the end of the season.
Similarly, Wydad have also retained the option to make Lorch's transfer permanent at the end of the season.
