The Egyptian giants advanced past their Tanzanian opposition on away goals following their 1-1 draw at home with Simba on Tuesday night, a tie that finished with an aggregate score of 3-3.
The home side missed multiple opportunities as they were forced to come from behind to make it to the next round, where they will go up against Sundowns.
Speaking after the game, Koller suggested that while he believes his team deserve their place in the last four, his players made life difficult for themselves.
"We deservedly advanced to the semi-finals of the African Football League," he said, according to ahramonline.
"We had full control of the game, but we squandered numerous goalscoring chances for the second consecutive match.
"Winning by a wide margin in every match is not always possible, as we must show respect for all opponents. The substitutions were made based on the match's circumstances."
