Nigeria have reportedly confirmed significant news ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against South Africa.

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has been declared fit to play for the Super Eagles on Wednesday.
The striker's fitness was a concern on Monday, after he did not fly to Bouake from Abidjan on Monday due to abdominal discomfort.
Speaking to AFP, a spokesperson for the Nigerian national team confirmed Osimhen eventually travelled to meet up with his teammates and will be available for selection.
"Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday," the spokesperson said.
"He has joined the team in Bouake and has trained with the squad today."
Osimhen has scored only a single goal at the tournament in the Ivory Coast, but is considered among the best forwards in world football.

The 2023 African Footballer of the Year helped Napoli end their long wait for the Serie title last year, finishing last season as the division's top scorer.
