Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr once again called up several Premier League stars such as Leon Balogun, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Isaac Success, while captain John Obi Mikel has been "excused".

Mikel is recovering from an injury he picked up in China, and Nigeria will be hoping he is available for their clash with Bafana Bafana in November, as reported by ESPN.

Nigeria currently sit in third place in Group E after losing their opening game to Stuart Baxter's side 2-0 before beating Seychelles 3-0 in their second match. They now face log leaders Libya in a double-header next week, while second-placed South Africa will place Seychelles twice.
