Defending AFCON champions Ivory Coast came from behind twice to secure a point, as they drew 2-2 with Congo DR at Stade d'Oyem.
Congo broke the deadlock after 11 minutes as Neeskens Kebano rifled the ball into the far corner, after Ivory Coast failed to deal with a long throw-in.
The Elephants had a chance to level matters after 22 minutes when Wilfried Bony was left un-marked in the box, but the striker headed over from close range.
Bony made up for his earlier miss in the 26th minute, as the Stoke City forward rose well to head home Max Gradel's corner.
Congo restored their lead two minutes later as Junior Kabananga grabbed his second of the tournament by heading home from close range.
The Ivory Coast came out stronger in the second half and nearly drew level in the 49th minute, but Simon Deli planted his header wide from close range.
The defending champions eventually leveled matters in the 67 minutes as Serey Die's effort deflected off Tiserand and sailed into the back of the net.
The Champions had a number of chance to grab the victory, most notably Serge Aurier, who headed wide of the upright form close range.
Ivory coast did have the ball in the back of the net in stoppage time, but Salomon Kalou's header was flagged offside, as the score remained 2-2.
