Egypt moved up to second in Group B, after claiming a 1-0 win over Denis Onyango's Uganda at the Stade de Port-Gentil.
The Pharaohs looked threatening from the onset, as the likes of Mohamed Salah and Ramadan Sobhi saw a lot of the ball down the flanks.
Uganda were quite content to sit back with the hope of catching Egypt on the break, although they barely threatened whenever they were in position of the ball.
Denis Onyango was called upon on a few occasions int he opening 45 minutes, but the likes of Ahmed Fathy and Tarek Hamed force the Ugandan shot-stopper into a fine save.
Uganda had the ball in the back of net in five minuets into the second half, but Ochaya's effort was flagged by the assistant referee.
Egypt opted for a change on the hour mark, as Al Ahly midfielder, Abdalla El Said replaced Tarek Hamed.
Egypt's Mahmoud Trezeguet had a double chance after 70 minutes, but the striker failed dismally on both occasions and was substituted shortly after.
The Pharaohs eventually secured the winner in the 89th minute when Salah teed up El Said, who fired the ball home through Onyango's legs.
The loss means Uganda cannot qualify for the quarterfinal stage, while Egypt have moved up to second spot with four points.
