Date: 29 January 2017
Venue: Stade de Port Gentil
Egypt advanced to the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals after recording a 1-0 win over Morocco at the Stade de Port Gentil.
The game got off to a slow start, with neither side showing any real attacking intent in the opening 20 minutes.
Egypt had to wait until the 34th minute for the first chance of the game, as Hegazy headed over the crossbar from close range.
Morocco enjoyed more of the possession in the final 15 minutes of the opening stanza, but they struggled to carve out chances in the final third.
The Pharaohs were dealt a blow just before the halftime break when Marwan Mohsen picked up an injury and was replaced by Ahmed Hassan.
Morocco nearly broke the deadlock 10 minutes after the halftime when Boussoufa rattled the crossbar with a powerful strike from 25-yards out.
Egypt were on the back foot for most of the second half and struggled to get out of their own half, before they introduced Kahraba for defender Karim Hafez.
The Pharaohs nearly went ahead against the run of play in the 76th minute, but El Kajoui produced a superb save to keep out Abdallah Said's fine free-kick.
However, Egypt did eventually find the winner in the 88th minute as Kahraba fired past El Kajoui from close range to secure their spot in the final four.
