The story
One of Kaizer Chiefs' rising stars, Mduduzi Shabalala looks set to launch his own foundation after a recent meeting with the Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture Recreation in Johannesburg this week.
Under the guidance of Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi, "Mdu or Die" has been one of the standout performers for Chiefs. He's caught the eye alongside Amakhosi's other young talents this season, namely, Wandile Duba, Mfundo Vilakazi, and Samkelo Zwane.
Already surpassing his goal tally from last season, Shabalala has scored four goals and provided two assists in 23 matches across all competitions. In comparison, he netted just twice and assisted once in 21 matches last season.
It looks like the 21-year-old is eager to work on his personal brand, with aforementioned department revealing that the baller visited the office to outline his future plans for the Mduduzi Shabalala Foundation and discussed possible collaborations with them.
