Following the sacking of Lehlohonolo Seema at Sekhukhune United, the club looks set to bring in a coach who became available from December 2024.
Seema was axed just a few hours after attending a Nedbank Cup press conference in Sandton on Thursday, with Kaitano Tembo and Paulus Masehe set to take charge in the interim while they finalise a head coaching appointment.

Eric Tinkler has emerged as a strong candidate for the role, as has been previously reported, and it's understood that it's only a matter of time before the club confirms his appointment, possibly after their Nedbank Cup quarter-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns tomorrow.
Tinkler parted ways with Cape Town City in December, following a poor start to the campaign. The Citizens brought in players such as Haashim Domingo, Fortune Makaringe and Kamohelo Mokotjo before the start of the season, but it was believed that the former Bafana Bafana midfielder was unable to inspire the team to positive results on a consistent basis, until the club finally decided to cut ties.
If appointed, he will be under pressure to ensure Sekhukhune, currently in fourth place, does not drop down the table.

It's understood that Tinkler could sign a deal until the end of the season, with an option to extend it at the end of the campaign if the club is satisfied with his work in the last few months of the campaign.
