It was not smooth sailing for the South African tactician upon his arrival in Casablanca, as the Red Castle struggled for consistency during the early parts of the campaign. However, since being defeated by MAS Fes in December 2024, the Moroccan giants have gone on a six-game unbeaten run in the league, winning five of those encounters in the process.
It seems that Mokwena has further acclimatised to football in the Botola Pro Inwi, as club captain Harkass has attributed their recent run of results to the former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach and his strategies.
"We have been improving in terms of results recently with our coach Rulani Mokwena, and we are making good progress with him. He is a great coach, and he always motivates us to do more on the pitch, and this is an incentive for us to prepare for the Club World Cup in the best possible way," the Moroccan international told FIFA's official website.
The central defender also expressed his excitement about playing against Manchester City and Juventus in the FIFA Club World Cup later this year, particularly the English champions.
"Our group is very difficult because it includes big clubs, namely Manchester City, Juventus and Al Ain. The players are looking forward to these matches, and we are working on preparing for them well from now on," he added.
