Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos is expected to include some in-form players in his upcoming squad and one of them has been doing well recently for Kaizer Chiefs.
Goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has been given an opportunity and he's currently running with his, making sure that he stays in goal for the Soweto giants. This, the Siya crew understands, is putting him in a good position to receive a call-up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month.

Sage Stephens was part of the team last time round as Broos gave the Stellenbosch FC keeper his debut in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, but it's believed that the Belgian will bring in the younger Bvuma, who has had some good moments for Amakhosi in the last few months since getting his opportunity to play.
Bvuma was part of the squad early on in Broos' tenure, but after being in and out of the team at Naturena, he lost his place and was no longer a member of the team, with Veli Mothwa and Ricardo Goss as back-ups for Ronwen Williams.
A lot has changed, though. Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Sipho Chaine has become second choice in the national team over the last few months and it's understood that Bvuma is going to step in to form part of the goalkeeping department for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.
Bvuma has made 11 appearances in all competitions for Amakhosi this season, conceding seven times and keeping five clean sheet. He is the only Chiefs goalkeeper who has kept a clean sheet this season. Both Fiacre Ntwari and Brandon Petersen were unable to do this.

Another player tipped to feature in Broos' squad is former SuperSport United youngster Shandre Campbell. The 19-year-old was recently called back to play for the first team at Club Brugge after starting out on loan at their reserve team, Club NXT. It's understood that Broos has been impressed with his progress in Belgium and he could get his opportunity to come in for the next matches.
Broos has never been afraid to call up young players who are doing well and Campbell could get his chance to stake a claim in the team with AFCON coming up at the end of the year.
The coach is believed to also be keeping a close eye on Khanyisa Mayo, who is in good form in Algeria for CR Belouizdad.
