However, the Argentine was unable to make a winning start in Libya after losing 2-1 to Al-Anwar in the Libyan Premier League.
Cheikhna Samake scored the first goal of the Gamondi era but it was not enough to secure a result, as Mustapha Jibrin and Islam Al Ghennai secured the win for the home side.
The defeat sees Al-Nasr remain in second position on the Premier League standings, eight points adrift of league leaders Al Akhdar with a game in hand.
Gamondi's charges will be back in action on Wednesday evening as the will host the league leaders.
The Argentine brings a wealth of experience to the Libyan outfit, having won league titles in South Africa and Tanzania.
