The story
Since the news of the PSL announced the suspension of all matches involving Royal AM broke on Wednesday, supporters have gone into overdrive discussing the matter on the Twitter/X timeline.
Royal AM have had their fixtures suspended after the club failed to guarantee they would be able to continue their obligations in the current Premier Soccer League season.
The club's Betway Premiership fixtures have been put on hold, including the clash against Orlando Pirates at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Thursday night.
The KwaZulu-Natal club are currently under curatorship by SARS and are set to meet with the league's executive on Friday to discuss its situation.
Owned by the controversial Shauwn Mkhize, Royal AM has not played a league match since their 3-1 loss to TS Galaxy on December 29.
Their away game against Chippa United on 11 January was postponed after reports circulated of players and staff going on strike over unpaid salaries.
The suspension also affects their Nedbank Cup fixture against Milford FC, which was scheduled for Sunday at their home ground in Pietermaritzburg.
