Towards the end of the 2023/24 campaign, a heated feud between Ramovic and Mokwena was reaching its zenith. Their rivalry played out in public, with each being highly critical of the other.
This rivalry began while both were coaching in the South African top flight, but since their war of words started, both have gone on to manage some of the continent's biggest clubs. Ramovic left TS Galaxy at the start of this season and is now in charge of East African outfit Young Africans.
He inherited a talented squad featuring players who have attracted attention across the continent. Players such as Burkinabe playmaker Stephane Aziz Ki and young Tanzanian forward Clement Mzize are understood to be of interest to some of Africa's biggest clubs, including Wydad, now coached by Mokwena.
When Le360 Sport asked him to comment on the Red Castle's rumoured interest in the duo, Ramovic said:
"Wydad, one of the biggest clubs in Africa and the world.
"It is a testament to their talent and the hard work they put in every day. Both Stephane Aziz Ki and Clement Mzizi are exceptional individuals and players, and their contributions have been key to our progress in the CAF Champions League, but my focus remains firmly on what we are building here.

"The energy, passion and unity we have as a team are what matters most at the moment. We are working towards a common goal and we are moving forward together. While we respect the interest of other clubs, the priority now is our success, our growth and the collective strength of the team."
