Al Ahly are reportedly set to open talks with Percy Tau's representatives over the coming weeks to discuss the forward's future.

The South African winger's contract at the Club of the Century expires at the end of the current season.
It was rumoured that the Egyptian giants were shopping the attacker last season, but with Tau still at the Cairo International Stadium, it looks as though they will try once again during the upcoming transfer window.
According to Yallakora, the club's executive committee is poised to meet with head coach Marcel Koller once again during the international break, and one of the items on the agenda will be the future of the Witbank native.
It seems increasingly likely that the record African champions will look to sell the Bafana Bafana international once the transfer window reopens, as it is alleged that the Swiss tactician may favour bringing in a new foreign player.
The same report claims that the club's sporting director, Mohamed Ramadan, will be initiating contact with Tau's agent to inform her of the club's desire to try and orchestrate a move in early 2025.
Clubs that were allegedly interested in signing the 2023 CAF Men's Interclub Player of the Year included Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club and Saudi Arabia's Al-Kholood Club.

It remains to be seen which clubs will be keen on luring Tau in the new year, but it looks increasingly likely that he will be leaving once the transfer window opens, as Ahly look to recoup as much funding as possible on the star.
