Only a few days following Erik ten Hag's sacking, Manchester United have confirmed their newest managerial appointment.

The former Portugal international bids farewell to Sporting Lisbon after four years, during which he celebrated an impressive five trophies.
Amorim was previously heavily linked with the Liverpool job prior to Arne Slot's appointment earlier this year, while he had also been tipped to succeed Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Known for being a tactician, United supporters will hope the ex-Benfica midfielder can quickly implement his philosophy at the struggling 20-time English champions.
The two-time Primeira Liga winner prefers playing with a back three in defence, although he has also earned praise for his ability to adapt his style of play to suit his squad.
Amorim is expected to be on the touchline when United host Chelsea in the Premier League this coming weekend.
