Mbappe Equals Unwanted Record, Criticised by Ancelotti

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe had an El Clasico debut to forget after equalling an unwanted record following the 4-0 loss to FC Barcelona.

The top two sides went head-to-head at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, with the Catalan giants running riot.

It was a particularly disappointing evening for Mbappe, who had two goals disallowed and he flagged offside eight times, which equalled club record from the 2003/04 campaign.

"The result doesn't reflect what happened on the pitch. We couldn't take the lead and they went ahead and took it. The game, until the first goal, was very even and we had more chances," Ancelotti said, as per Sport Star.0

"It was known that Barca use a high defence and we barely took advantage of it.

"(Mbappe) had chances and sometimes was offside, but he had three or four chances where he needed to be more accurate..."
