Mamelodi Sundowns could be without influential attacker Themba Zwane for a long time after suffering a terrible injury, as confirmed by Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos.
Zwane was forced out of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Congo Brazzaville towards the end of the first half at Stade Alphonse Massamba-Debat de Brazzaville last night after picking up an injury.

The 35-year-old was replaced by Patrick Maswanganyi and Bafana went on to draw the match 1-1.
Broos, who believes that the loss of Zwane contributed to the team not getting the maximum points, has since confirmed the extent of Mshishi's injury.
"Themba Zwane is a very important player for us. It was not a good thing for us that Themba had to go out with an injury. It is a big injury, it is an Achilles tendon injury. I'm afraid he will be out for months. So, again, when you lose such an important player, it's difficult, certainly in a game where you dominated. It's always difficult to lose such a player because Themba is someone who can keep the ball, who can give the last pass. So, he was not there and maybe that was also a reason why we didn't play so well," said Broos, as quoted by SAFA's official website.
