Sources have suggested the Brazilians had previously submitted an improved offer for Stellenbosch FC midfielder Jayden Adams, with no deal materializing at that time.
Now, insiders have since revealed that Downs are believed to be on the verge of sealing the deal with the Cape Winelands side to bring Adams on board this season.
"The transfer window is closing on Friday, and this could happen at any moment. The negotiations concerning Jayden Adams are said to be at a very advanced stage. Sundowns are determined to secure him during this window period. They are reportedly doing everything in their power to finalize the deal before Friday. It's almost a done deal. It's imminent," a source revealed to the Siya crew.

Indications are that the latest offer from the Premiership champions is understood to be too lucrative to refuse, increasing the likelihood of the winger joining Sundowns.
"Football is a business, and it's all about the money on the table. Sundowns' final offer is reportedly too good to turn down. It's much better than most of the offers Stellenbosch has received for other players they have sold, which gives Sundowns hope. This makes the move almost impossible to stop. We might see something happen before Friday or even on Friday itself," the source observed.
The 22-year-old featured in 25 league games for Stellies last season, scoring three times. He also featured for Bafana Bafana at the AFCON in Ivory Coast.
Soccer Laduma reached out to Adams' agent, Michael Costa, who was not unavailable for comment. Similarly, attempts to contact Sundowns were unsuccessful at the time of publishing.
