Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Junior Mendieta has opened his account in Europe less than two months after his exit from Chloorkop.
The 31-year-old lasted just one season at Downs, registering just two goals in 29 outings, before sealing a move to Greek side Volos FC.

His stunning strike proved to only be a consolation, though, as OFI walked away with a 3-1 win over Mendieta's new club.
Volos are currently 10th in the 2024/25 Greek Super League with just three points from their opening three matches.
Notably, Mendieta was given the No. 10 shirt after completing his big move to Greece, while it was reported by KickOff in July that he accepted the deal as it was an improvement from what he was earning at Sundowns.
