Mamelodi Sundowns look set to have more players available for selection when the Premiership campaign finally gets underway next month.
The Siya crew previously reported that Thembinkosi Lorch had returned from injury, but had not fully joined the rest of the team in training. It's understood that the former Orlando Pirates player is getting involved in some of the group training now and the technical team feels he could be ready to start the new Premiership campaign.

As things stand, Lorch is not expected to be available for selection when Sundowns face Stellenbosch FC in the first leg of their MTN8 semi-final meeting next week.
It's understood that Lorch is making good progress in training and the technical team has been happy with his attitude, as he wants to prove himself and get into the team.
With so much competition for places in the team, it's understood that Lorch is determined to fight his way into the team and is likely to get many opportunities, with Sundowns involved in quite a few competitions.

Another player Sundowns could have back soon is midfielder Sipho Mbule, who did not travel to Austria for pre-season due to injury. Mbule has struggled to get regular game time in the starting line-up since joining Sundowns, with injury affecting his progress at times.
The Siya crew understands that the technical team values Mbule and would like to see him back in the side, so that they can have more options in the middle of the park.
