The story
Before their season opener against Orlando Pirates in the MTN8, SuperSport United announced the signing of three players, one of them being Brooklyn Poggenpoel on a one-year deal with a two-year option to renew.
24-year-old, who can play as a holding midfielder and centre-back, joined Matsatsantsa from Chippa United having played 30 games in his two-year spell at the Gqeberha-based club.
Poggenpoel made his SuperSport United debut in the heart of Gavin Hunt's defence on Saturday at the Orlando Stadium and despite their 3-1 defeat, the baller held his own against a valiant Bucs attack.
Away from the pitch, Poggenpoel enjoys photography as a fun and creative hobby that can distract him from the stresses of professional football.
Although the versatile baller's IG photography page, @brooklynp_snaps, isn't the most active, it still exhibits Poggenpoel's potential behind the lens.
