According to Marca, Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes has emerged as a transfer target for the Spanish tactician ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The report claims Guardiola is pushing the club to make a move for the 23-year-old, who has contributed to 95 goals in 216 appearances for Real since his arrival in 2019.
Questions remain over his role in Madrid following the signing of Mbappe, with both players, as well as Vinicius Junior, believed to prefer playing off the left-hand side of attack.
This comes ahead of City striker Julian Alvarez's reported sale to Atletico Madrid. The Argentine is reportedly close to penning a deal with Los Rojiblancos in a package deal worth €95 million (R1.9 billion).
Prior to Mbappe's move to Los Blancos, Rodrygo had voiced his concerns over his playing time in the future, before backtracking on his comments.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti, though, has insisted the ex-Santos wonderkid remains important at the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners.
