Despite being 36 years of age now, the Zimbabwean is still managing to consistently find the back of the net for YN Yukun in China following his arrival at the club in February this year.
The club currently plays their football in China's second division – called China League One – which they are favourites to win at this stage of the 2024 campaign.
Yukun are sitting at the top of the table after 18 matches, seven points clear of second-placed DL Yingbo. With only 12 games remaining, Mushekwi will be hoping to continue his goalscoring form to inspire his side to promotion.
The 18-time Zimbabwe international has scored an impressive 14 goals in 18 matches for Yukun, a run that included consecutive braces in June.
Earlier this year, meanwhile, Mushekwi struck in six matches in a row in the league to show what his new teammates what he was all about.
They would have been aware of the expertise and experience he brings in front of goal following his spell at Zhejiang FC, also in China, between 2019 and 2024.
There, the ex-Sundowns forward netted 75 goals in 130 games across both China's first and second division, having joined Zhejiang from Dalian Professional, whom he signed for after leaving Downs in 2016.
