The Siya crew has been alerted to plans for a Guinea goalkeeper to be offered to Orlando Pirates in this transfer window.
Since parting ways with Richard Ofori and Siyabonga Mpontshane at the expiry of their respective contracts at the end of the season, Pirates haven't brought in an experienced goalkeeper to replace the duo.

Instead, the Buccaneers have had young goalkeepers Siyabonga Dladla and Bayanda Zulu as part of their pre-season training camp in Spain, as head coach Jose Riveiro and his technical team wanted to have a closer look at all the players available at their disposal before deciding on the squad for the 2024/25 season.
With Sipho Chaine expected to keep his place as Bucs' number one going into the new season, while Melusi Buthelezi is likely to continue being the second-choice goalkeeper, sources in the know have indicated that the Soweto giants could be offered Soumalia Sylla who has been playing for Guinea at the Olympics in France.

"Soumalia Sylla has grown in leaps and bounds in his career and his management team feel that he is ready for bigger and better things. He has done well for Guinea at the Olympics and his handlers are assessing options for first team football for him in a competitive league going forward. Orlando Pirates are one of the clubs that are targeted to offer to the player in Africa, with the other being Raja Casablanca in Morocco. We shall see what is going to happen in the next few weeks about that," said the source.
