There has been encouraging news this week on four injured Orlando Pirates stars ahead of the new season, which is set to start this weekend.
The Buccaneers are scheduled to get their 2024/25 campaign started with a match against SuperSport United at Orlando Stadium in the MTN8 on Saturday.

During the team's successful pre-season tour of Spain recently, four players, namely Tapelo Xoki who is the team's vice-captain, as well as Bandile Shandu, Paseka Mako and Goodman Mosele who is back from a season-long loan spell with Chippa United, were notably not part of the group.
The four stars have been nursing respective injuries, although sources have confirmed that all four players have made progress on their recovery.

"There's been progress and the players are expected to return earlier than initially thought. The medical department has done well with all four of them," said the source.
While the four players could miss this weekend's match as Bucs will be out to begin their MTN8 trophy defence, the quartet is likely to catch up and join the rest of the squad in competing for their places in coach Jose Riveiro's line-ups in the coming weeks.
