Orlando Pirates are in no hurry for making a decision regarding one of the important decisions in the technical team, the Siya crew understands.
Following the Buccaneers' successful defence of the Nedbank Cup trophy at the end of the season to add to the MTN8 won earlier in the campaign, the club bid farewell to assistant coach Sergio Almenara who returned to Spain for personal reasons.

Almenara had been with Bucs since 2022, having joined alongside head coach and countryman in Jose Riveiro.
While working alongside Mandla Ncikazi and the rest of the technical team, Riveiro and Almenara were influential in Ezimnyama winning back-to-back MTN8 and Nedbank Cup trophies in the two seasons they have been with the side, while the team has also been lauded for improvement in the league where they finished second on both occasions.
Indications have been that the Soweto giants could prioritise replacing Almenara to keep the number of assistant coaches in Riveiro's team at two going into the new season.
Sources close to Bucs have, however, indicated that the club could decide to go into the new season with the current technical team unchanged, with a possibility to strengthen later on in the campaign if a need arises.

"There is no rush for the club about that (appointing the assistant coach). It's something that can be looked at as the season progresses. Final decisions on some of things will be made on the team's return from Spain," said the source.
Meanwhile, Pirates have been beefing up on other departments of the technical team, with former Stellenbosch FC video analyst Devon O'Brien and rehabilitation performance specialist Rodrigo Agustin Araya being some of the new faces in camp during the pre-season preparations.
