The 25-year-old appears to be in line to participate in Les Bleus' next EURO 2024 match, against the Netherlands on Friday.
Mbappe broke his nose in France's 1-1 draw with Austria on Monday, and was a doubt for the rest of the tournament following recent comments from the French Football Federation's president, Philippe Diallo.
Speaking to the press on Thursday, Deschamps said the new Real Madrid signing is likely to be available for their second game in Group D.
"I can confirm that Kylian Mbappe is feeling better and all is evolving well to see him available for tomorrow (Friday)," he said, according to BBC.com.
"It's moving in the right direction."
The manager also said his captain will be wearing a protective mask going forward.
"He will be playing in a mask, you don't need to know any more details about this mask," Deschamps added.
