The legendary tactician returned to management recently, penning a two-year deal with Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce after being fired as Roma boss earlier this year.
During his period out of the game, Mourinho might have had time to watch more football from elsewhere around the globe than usual, or at least his latest comments on Jude Bellingham suggest he has.
Speaking during a recent interview, the 61-year-old named the 2023/24 LALIGA Player of the Year as the world's best young footballer when taking into consideration how much he could still improve.
"For me, Jude Bellingham is now the best young player in the world," he told journalist Philipp Kessler, according to Madrid Universal.
"Looking into the future and just imagining what he can become in a few years."
The 20-year-old contributed to 37 goals in 43 matches for Los Blancos across all competitions last season, and scored in England's 1-0 win over Serbia at the 2024 UEFA European Championship on the weekend.
