Pitso's Abha Suffer Major Setback, Ronaldo Up Next!

Pitso's Abha Suffer Major Setback, Ronaldo Up Next!

Pitso Mosimane's Abha suffered a blow in their battle for survival in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday night.

Mosimane's charges broke the deadlock in the 26th minute when Francois Kamano found the back of the net with his first goal of the campaign.

The visitors, however, would not be able to hold on to that lead as Riyadh got back on level terms with 20 minutes to play, with Saleh Al Abbas firing home after being set up by Andre Grey.

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona was not in action for the home side, who remain above the relegation zone in 14th position.

Mosimane's charges, meanwhile, missed the chance to close the gap on 15th-placed Al-Akhdoud, who face league leaders Al-Hilal on Tuesday.

Abha will now turn their attention to Tuesday's league encounter against Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr, who thrashed Al Tai 5-1 on Saturday evening.
