After Darrel Matsheke scored the winning penalty to secure the Carling Knockout title for Stellenbosch, Soccer Laduma looks at players who have won major silverware since leaving Kaizer Chiefs who are still waiting for a first trophy since 2015.
Matsheke was released by Amakhosi earlier this year after spending last season on loan to Swallows FC (now Moroka Swallows) and found himself a new home with Stellies.

It took him a couple of months to win his first major knockout competition in the top flight, calmly slotting home the winning penalty in sudden death to secure victory over TS Galaxy at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Amakhosi last won a trophy in 2015, when they lifted the Premiership title under Stuart Baxter. Since then, there are players who have left and gone on to win titles elsewhere.
After leaving Chiefs in 2016, Reneilwe Letsholonyane joined SuperSport United and won the Nedbank Cup in his first season with the Tshwane outfit, as Matsatsantsa beat Soweto giants Orlando Pirates 4-1 in the final. The man famously known as 'Yeye' also won the 2017 MTN8 title with Matsatsantsa, enjoying a successful period with the club after leaving Amakhosi.
Midfielders George Lebese and George Maluleka both won league titles with Mamelodi Sundowns. Maluleka also won the MTN8 with Sundowns in 2021, as well as the Nedbank Cup in 2022.
