Bafana Bafana and Al Ahly forward Percy Tau has beaten Mamelodi Sundowns' Peter Shalulile to a big award at the 2023 CAF Awards.
The South African forward was a standout figure for the Egyptian Red Devils as they claimed an 11th CAF Champions League title earlier this year.

Tau registered the most goal contributions in last season's Champions League with five goals and five assists in 12 appearances.

Tau was not the only South African to walk away with an award, as Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies were named Club of the Year.
Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis continued her dominance at the awards after being named the 2023 Women's Coach of the Year.
Ellis has now won the award for the second year in a row and fourth time overall.
