With rumours surfacing of Premier League interest for soon-to-be free agent Kylian Mbappe, we look at what could entice the Frenchman to make the move to England and ditch long-time suitors Real Madrid.
Check Out: Why Victor Osimhen Should Choose Arsenal Over Chelsea
Los Merengues have been courting the Bondy native since he was a prodigious young talent at AS Monaco, but after he left the Principality for Paris Saint-Germain, the Spanish giants have encountered several stumbling blocks in trying to sign the pacey attacker. However, with the France captain approaching the final six months of his contract, now seems like Real's time to land their potential newest Galactico has finally come.
While the two parties were involved in the exact same situation during the 2021/22 season, his departure seems even more of an inevitability than that occasion after the striker wrote a letter to PSG chiefs informing them of his decision to not extend his contract beyond 2024.
Real have been heavily linked with a move to the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, but they will not be the only European juggernauts who will push to secure Mbappe's signature as both Arsenal and Liverpool are believed to be serious about potentially acquiring the 24-year-old. But what can England's top division offer him that the record European champions can't.?
The first thing is money. For all the history and allure that comes with signing for the LALIGA outfit, they do not make as much cash as the top clubs in England. The increasing global interest in England's top division allows for clubs to generate enormous sums of money through the sale and distribution of its broadcast revenue.
Another thing is reputability. For all the fluid and aesthetically pleasing football that is on show in the Spanish topflight, it is perhaps not as competitive as the EPL. Scoring at the rate he has been for Les Parisiens, for the Gunners or the Reds, will bring him more acclaim among supporters and stakeholders of the beautiful game than if he had to do it against the other opposition in Spain. If he can combine his prolific nature with trophies in England, then he will be regarded as one of the best players ever without needed to head to the Iberian Peninsula.
A move to England also sets the scene for an enthralling competition with Erling Haaland. A rivalry which has been long talked about will come to life if he was to join the Norwegian as the world will have a new iteration of Lionel Messi vs. Cristiano Ronaldo. Conquering such a duel will also elevate his status as one of the all-time greats, for them both, just like how it did for the legacies of the Portuguese and Argentine forwards.
Real is arguably the biggest club in the world and should the opportunity arise, most players make their way to the iconic institution. However, Mbappe isn't most players and he will likely play at a world-class level for many more years to come and should he move to Real and be successful, he will have very little to prove at a relatively early stage of his career.

Given what's transpired between Real Mbappe, there is a massive likelihood that he joins the club, but the most lucrative league in the world has a lot of intangibles that he cannot find elsewhere.
