The Siya crew understands that Gaston Sirino will see out the season with Mamelodi Sundowns, but his recent return to the team does not guarantee he will be at Chloorkop next season.
The Uruguayan appeared to be heading out in the last transfer window as he was training on his own at some point, but he ended up staying with the Brazilians and is now back getting gametime under head coach Rhulani Mokwena.
Sirino, who was on the scoresheet as the Tshwane giants opened their CAF Champions League group stage campaign with a 3-0 victory over Mauritanian side FC Nouadhibou, has made eight appearances in all competitions so far this season.
While there was a possibility that the South American could look for a move during January, as previously reported by Soccer Laduma, indications are that he will see out the season and a decision on his future with the club will be made once the campaign is over.
It's understood that while he may be getting useful minutes under the belt at the moment, it does not guarantee the skillful star will be with the club come 2024/25.
Downs will look into the matter towards the end of the campaign and the player himself is expected to make a call on whether or not he would like to keep wearing the famous Yellow and Blue strip. Suffice to say, a lot will depend on how things go until the end of the season for Sirino.
