Mamelodi Sundowns could be interested in bringing in a former player who moved to Canada recently, the Siya crew has been informed.
With the MLS season over in North America, the Brazilians have an opportunity to bring in Toronto FC player Cassius Mailula on loan for a few months.

Siya sources have now indicated that the Brazilians could be talking to Mailula's representatives with the aim of bringing in the forward to keep him active.
The sources have added that the potential move may only happen in January which means the player could only play for two months, taking the AFCON break into consideration.
"Talking. They are talking (about Cassius Mailula). They want to look at the whole exercise if it's worth it to loan him for just two months or even one and a half months," said the Siya source.
"You know the season is finished in America and will resume in March. And between now and January they cannot register him even if all the parties agree because the window period only opens in January.
"But soon after that there is the AFCON in Ivory Coast which runs until February and the season in America starts in March. That's what they are looking at. If all the parties agree that it makes sense then the loan deal would be agreed upon and finalised," the source said.
A second Siya source added that for the 22-year-old's deal to be possible, then his team Toronto FC should first agree on him moving to South Africa temporarily. They wouldn't want to risk Mailula getting injured in the process.
"The main challenge would be Toronto FC. They would not want a player to pick up an injury in those two months or so. So the last say about the whole loan deal happening lies in Toronto FC's hands," said the Siya source.
"So, for now though, Sundowns are talking to the player and his representatives. It won't end up with them. His representatives should then talk to his club for the go ahead," the source told Soccer Laduma.
Mailula signed a three-year contract with his current club which runs until the 31st of December 2026 with a one year option on his contract.
Recently, former South African defender Tefu Mashamaite told Soccer Laduma that Mailula should go on loan to either Kaizer Chiefs or Masandawana.
The Siya crew contacted Sundowns for comment but no response was received while preparing this story.
