With Kaizer Chiefs expected to intensify their search for a goalkeeper, Salim Jamal Magoola's name has come up again as a possible option.
Chiefs announced in June this year that the one-year contract extension offered to veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune at the time was his last as a player.

The Soweto giants revealed that Khune would get into a new coaching and ambassadorial role at the club after the expiry of his existing deal in June next year where he is expected to work alongside the marketing team in Naturena.
Furthermore, Amakhosi have both their other first team goalkeepers Brandon Petersen and Bruce Bvuma having their existing deals also set to expire in June.
According to sources, Magoola's name has come up again as a potential target for Chiefs after he was first linked with the club last season.
The Ugandan international was among the league's Goalkeeper of the Season nominees for his impressive performances in the 2022/23 campaign.
Again this season, the 28-year-old has been the number one for Richards Bay FC although the team's results have somewhat overshadowed his performances though that hasn't stood in the way of interest coming his way, according to sources.

"Salim Magoola is still an option for Chiefs. His name has come up again as an option although there have been no official talks. He is one of the players who will be closely monitored for the rest of the season as Chiefs are searching for a goalkeeper to add to the team for next season," said the source.
As reported by the Siya crew, Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili has emerged as another potential target for Chiefs.
